The original amphitheatre dating to the 1st century CE was built of wood, with the reconstruction in stone occurring in the 2nd century CE (Military City's Amphitheatre, 2016). The amphitheatre was located next to a military camp with the main gate oriented to this camp (Military City's Amphitheatre, 2016). |
