Abstract
In connection to request to purchase the Copeland land for additional timber land for the Mi'kmaq at Pictou Landing, Minister of Justice Sedgewick states that the title is currently held by Robert P. Fraser, and that land could be purchased from him. Sedgewick states that encumberance has been removed, but also warns that "care should be taken" to ensure that no further encumberances have been incured in the meantime. Margin notes (likely written by Vankoughnet) asks someone to talk to Registrar of lands in Pictou.
