This letter was sent from C. Powell, manager of the Temperance Colonization Society to Jas. A. Smart, Deputy Minister of the Interior for the Government of Canada on April 18, 1902 concerning the quarter section of land NE 26-36-5-W3 which would eventually be purchased by the University of Saskatchewan in 1909. This was looked at to determine Indigenous/Metis place making in and around Saskatoon. This letter is housed in the Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan and any further use or dissemination of this letter must receive approval from the Archives prior to it's use in any endeavour.
