This map is part of a Saskatoon city housing report on the state of housing options around the city in 1961. Unsurprisingly, the houses with the worst condition are in the neighbourhoods with the highest concentration of Indigenous populations. This is part of the project of determining the details of Indigenous Urbanization and the difficulties urban migrants faced in Saskatoon in the period from 1950-1970 and beyond. This map is part of the City of Saskatoon Archives and and further use or dissemination of this map must receive permission from the City Archives prior to use. |
