Photo of 2nd Avenue looking north from the intersection with 19th Street. This photo was taken in about 1913 and shows a portion of what was Saskatoon's Chinatown. The left hand side of the photo shows the Sing Lee Laundry building, which was one of the many laundry endeavours Chinese individuals embarked on in the city due to racist policies and a lack of non labour intensive job prospects. The photo ID# is PH-2015-88. The photo is housed at the Saskatoon Public Library Local History Room and any further use or dissemination of this photo must receive permission from the Public Library. |
