Abstract |
J. F. Cairns float winner of first prize in 1919 Victory Day Parade. Float was described as "elaborate and tasteful, a white foundation with blue edgings, and "Peace 1919" written across the side". "Victory" was written on an arch over all, the white dove of peace, and under the arch stood a live representative of the goddess of Liberty, holding the symbolic shield and wreath. Parade was proceeding down 23rd Street with King George Hotel visible in background.
