Cartoon from the July 17, 1913 Daily Star newspaper in Saskatoon that shows a stereotypical looking Chinese man at the doorstep of his business with a well-dressed woman walking past. The script on the cartoon reads "A Danger Removed." This cartoon is referencing the White Woman's Law enacted by Saskatchewan in 1912 which banned Chinese businesses from hiring and employing white women for fears of "corrupting society" and having women being "slaves" to the Chinese. This cartoon is located in the Saskatoon Public Library's Local History Room Binder titled "Ethnic Groups A-C." Any further use or dissemination of this document must revive permission from the Public Library prior to any endeavours being undertaken.
