CARLTON WHISKEY. GOLD MEDEAL, CALCUTTA EXHIBITION, 1884. We guarantee the respective ages of the two qualities we ship as 11 and 5 years old, but owning to new regulations on the part of the London Custom House, we are now compelled to Label our Brand as follows:-- "the oldest and best (11 years old.)} as 'AWARDED GOLD MEDAL,' White Capsule." The next best (5 Years Old.)} as "OF GREAT AGE," Red Capsule.' We have not caried the quality one iota, nor should we have, without compulsion, made any alterations in Label.
CAUTION.-- Owning to the popularity of our Whiskey, fraudulent imitation of our Label are not uncommon, and these are placed on Bottles containing the most objectionable liquid. So that our Friends and Public will do well to ascertain that our trademark appears engraves on CROKS, CAPSULES, AND LABELS as per sketch above.
