Contraindications: concomitant use of IMAO (inhibitors of monoaminooxidase). Hypersensibility to tricyclic antidepressants of the benzodiazepine group. Precautions: pregnancy and lactation. Concomitant treatment with IMAO. Cardiac insufficiency and hemodynamic instability, acute stage of myocardium stroke, alterations in the intracardiac conductions, ortostatic hypotension, diminution of the convulsive umbral. Alterations in miction, glaucoma. Vehicle drivers, consumption of alcohol. Collateral effects: as with any tricyclic antidepressant anticholinergic effects can present themselves. Infrequently: cardiovascular effects, insomnia, confusional transitory episodes, anxiety, cutaneous rashes. Very infrequently: convulsions, alterations of the hepatic function.
