Abstract
Written by Sheila Carr-Stewart, Treaty 6 Education: In search of Her Majesty’s Bounty and Benevolence, argues that the crown failed to uphold their treaty agreement on education. Carr-Stewart explains two main points about the failed treaty agreement, the first point is that the education of Aboriginal students was to be equal to those of European students, and the second point is that education was not supposed to impact Indigenous teaching and practices which the crown failed to uphold.
